For very large or complicated boards creative solutions are sometimes needed. Here at ECT we eagerly accept the challenge to come up with innovative ways to meet our customers needs. One of the challenges was to be able to test large backplane boards on both sides with a single pass test. To solve this challenge the "Oversize Press" was built. |

| The Oversize Press uses custom fixtures that interface with a standard flatbed grid tester through a series of cables. It is compressed by a pneumatic press. | |||

| Another example of custom fixtures would be a hybrid using a combination fixture technologies. This type of hybrid fixture allows us to overcome several challenges created by a single board. | |||
