| Replacing
conventional pin-style sockets with ECT Adaptive Contactors results
in improved mechanical reliability and electrical performance. |
Features
- The ECT VHPC adaptive
contactor consists of two main components: the DUT contactor and the
adapter.
- The portion of
the adaptive contactor that makes electrical contact with the DUT is
typically similar in design to a standard µHPC/PL contactor.
- The board side,
or adaptive portion, of the VHPC adaptive contactor features pins that
are arranged in a pattern matching the socket that the contactor replaces.
- The adapter includes
a printed circuit board to make surface-mount contact with the device
contactor. The printed circuit board features power and ground planes,
and allocates space for a full compliment of decoupling capacitors.
