Contactor Electrical Performance
|
µHPC/PL
contactors provide optimum electrical performance in applications such
as wireless communications, low-noise analog, and ultra high-speed logic.
- Two components
make up the electrical path through the contactor: a single contact
lead of the leadframe, and a portion of the SMM.
- The path length
is very short about 3.5mm (0.140").
- Using the largest-width
lead that will operate effectively with the DUTs lead pitch minimizes
inductance.
- Contact resistance
is minimized by having all of the components of the electrical path
gold plated, and by maximizing the contact area between the contact
lead and the DUT lead.
- The density of
the SMM wire matrix ensures that the SMM touches the contactor lead
and the interface board pad with a large number of conductors, reducing
the contact resistance at these points.
- In summary, the
ECT µHPC/PL contactor provides yield optimizing electrical performance
for a broad range of device types, as well as a robust mechanical design
offering long life and ease of maintenance.
