Everett Charles Technologies offers a mechanical and pneumatic driven kit line for the PCB industry. The kits are designed to work as both a cassette and non-cassette type unit, with single or dual access (top probing) capabilities. The dual access version will encompass a mounted upper probe plate, a wiring safety cover and 3 guiding pins/blocks. The pneumatic kit utilizes pneumatic cylinders to quickly set the probes to the UUT. These cylinders are fully adjustable to the desired compression speed. The unit closes faster and more precisely than the standard vacuum kit. The kit is designed for complex boards with low node counts.

Sizes
The two standard design sizes the unit will come in are the SKM
and the SKL. Both of these designs are based on the very rigid and widely accepted
ECT hold down gate. This is the same hold down gate used on Everett Charles Technologies'
standard Superkit™ fixture. The dual access unit will limit the UUT size based
on the additional guiding pins needed for operation.

Each unit comes equipped with handles to easily install the cassette.
The handles are rugged and are used to push/lift the cassette into and out of
the receiver. ECT has mounted a removable back plane to the unit, allowing the
customer to determine the interface of the receiver.
