Vacuum-actuated Access Units
Top or side access to UUT fingers or I/O connectors is easily accommodated by Vacuum-actuated Access Units. Test probes in the vertical unit contact fingers or I/O connectors when vacuum is applied.
The horizontal access unit is used to test right angle, PCB mounted connectors and for other similar applications.
Each unit is available in three sizes. Mounting and probe platen instructions are furnished.

Mechanical Access Units
This unit is designed to contact UUT fingers or I/O connectors. The handle is lowered and raised to engage and disengage the test probes. The rotary cam mechanism ensures smooth operation and precise probe alignment. Unit is available in two sizes and can be mounted in a vertical or horizontal position to fit the application.

Automatic Side
Access Unit (ASAU)
The ASAU is a ramp-actuated mechanism which automatically moves a spring contact probe platen horizontally to contact pins of a DUT mounted on the surface of a PCB.
When the test is completed, the probe block automatically retracts. The unit is offered as an accessory for new fixtures or to retrofit existing fixtures.
The modular design enables the ASAU to be actuated from the top or bottom. It will accommodate probe platens with up to 100 spring contact probes on .100" centers. Probe platen and probes are supplied by the customer.
